Waltraud Maczassek, of German nationality, put down roots in the Penedès region when she married Miguel A. Torres. That's why he decided to make a wine in her honour, using German varieties but planted in the Upper Penedès.

The result of the union of four different varieties, which are harvested at different times and vinified separately. The binding causes each to show the best of yourself and create a perfect conjunión with the rest.

The Torres Sangre de Toro is made ​​from Grenache and Carignan. Miguel Torres so named this wine in honor of the Roman god of wine, Bacchus, formerly called "Son del Toro".
