This certificate is now exhibited at the Courvoisier museum in Jarnac, with memoranda and other Napoleonic artifacts. In 1909, the English family Simon Courvoisier takes over and begins to build brand identity Courvoisier Cognac and the development of its worldwide reputation. In 1950 he introduced the silhouette of Napoleon and Josephine bottle, both identities are now recognized worldwide. Courvoisier Cognac is now owned by Jim Beam Global, one of the largest alcoholic beverage companies in the world. However Courvoisier stays true to the same exacting standards of yesteryear and remains extremely careful in drawing and cognac blends produced by the founder for almost 200 years.
