Masia Carreras Negre

This wine is a great sample of products from the D.O. Empordà and one of the most traditional wines produced by Marti Fabra following the traditional guidelines inherited from their ancestors. It is made of grapes from very old Carignan vines, aged of more than 80 years, and Merlot vines, all of them grown in poor slate soils surrounded by vegetation. After the traditional winemaking, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and rests for a few months in the bottle in the winery's cellar.
