Lalama
90% Mencía, 3% Brancellao, 3% Garnacha Tinta, 2% Mouratón y 2% Souson
Lalama is a red wine from the D.O. Ribeira Sacra produced by the Dominio de Bibei winery. It is a coupage in which the Mencía variety predominates, accompanied to a lesser extent by Brancellao, Mouratón, Souson and Garnacha. The grapes come from vineyards between 15 and 100 years old, planted at an altitude of between 300 and 700 meters above sea level and with slate, clay or granite soils. The harvest is done manually, in boxes of 10 kg. Each variety is harvested separately and the grapes are destemmed and selected grain by grain.
